Anyone who enjoys a healthy and youthful look has collagen and hyaluronic acid to thank. These elements are responsible for giving the skin structure and fullness, maintaining hydration, and generally keeping contours elevated, rounded, and well-defined. Unfortunately, these elements also dwindle over time, causing multiple signs of aging to develop. Restylane® at New Jersey’s Sood Center is a hyaluronic acid-based gel that restores that lost volume, returning structure, fullness, hydration, and more where needed.
Many dermal fillers are designed to address volume loss in the face. Restylane® targets signs of facial aging, but is also made to re-volumize the hands. With more than half a dozen formulations in the Restylane® family, Sood Center’s experienced injectors can create highly customized treatment plans to create a balanced and naturally rejuvenated look.
A filler that does “double duty” in the Restylane® family, Lyft can be injected into the face, the hands, or both. For the face, it provides structure to give the cheeks and midface more youthful contours. The look of the cheekbones is more defined, and laugh lines are softened. For the hands, Lyft adds fullness to address the “skeletal” look that can develop over time as fat and collagen loss expose tendons and veins.
Restylane® Contour focuses on the cheeks, giving the mid-face a fuller, more youthfully round look. The hyaluronic acid-based gel is made to be flexible so that the added volume looks natural no matter what expression are being made.
A little change can make a big difference when it comes to making a face look younger. Refyne targets moderate lines in the mouth area, such as smile lines, to create a smoother appearance. The gel moves with the surrounding tissue for a more natural effect.
As the “original,” this hyaluronic acid-based gel is a dermal filler that smooths smile lines and enhances lips that have diminished with age or are naturally thin.
Advancements in technology since Restylane® was first developed led to Silk, another options for plumping thin lips and softening or smoothing lines that develop around the lips and mouth area.
Every Sood Center patient will have a unique treatment developed, making specific costs difficult to determine in advance. Restylane® cost depends on how many areas are being injected, which cosmetic conditions are being treated, how much product is used, and other factors. All of this can be discussed at a consultation.
No matter your treatment details, you will get a thorough explanation of what Restylane® can and can’t do during your consultation. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about the filler, the signs of aging you want to address, our injectors’ experience and skill, and anything else you would like to discuss. The goal is to make sure you are as comfortable as possible with your choice.
For the treatment session itself, we will start by thoroughly cleansing the injection sites. Our team uses fine needles to introduce the gel where needed, strategically injecting small amounts for beautifully natural-looking results. This can take about 30 minutes.
Slight numbness may develop in the injection site for about an hour, and mild bruising or swelling can develop within a couple of days of the treatment. There is no need to do anything special to manage these side effects, but taking ibuprofen can help to reduce any possible swelling or discomfort. The timeline for returning to your regularly scheduled activities is up to you. Throughout this time, you can follow the aftercare instructions we provide in order to maximize and best maintain your results.
Restylane® gel provides volume that is visible virtually right away, so you will notice the difference shortly after your visit ends. Slight swelling can initially make the treatment area look “overfilled,” but as the swelling resolves, the ultimate look will become clear.
Restylane® is a very versatile and safe filler, with applications available for a wide range of patients seeking cosmetic correction for signs of aging. The various formulations are all well-researched and widely used. We will determine at your consultation whether Restylane® is the best approach for you based on what you want treated, your personal goals, your health history, and more. Certain allergies and conditions might prompt us to suggest a different plan.
Welcoming patients from New Jersey, Philadelphia, and beyond.
